Reiki

Reiki - pronounced ray-key -means ‘universal life energy' in Japanese. As you would guess, given the names origin, this therapy originated in Japan early in the last century. Reiki works from the the premise that illness is caused by a disruption in the body's energy field, and this disruption can be corrected by channeling a positive energy. As it is a form of energy healing it can be done in person or by distance. It is a non-invasive form of healing, and can be done either by the actual laying on of hands or without actual contact. i personally do not actually touch the Clients body as touch is not essential to channeling energy. Reiki can be used in regards to assisting physical, mental and emotional problems, most clients report that a reiki treatment feels wonderful, and promotes a sense of relaxation and well being. It is important to remember though that each person will react differently to any treatment as each person is an individual.

Please note - and this is very important - Reiki is not meant to be a substitute for medical or psychological diagnosis and/or treatment. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions, perform medical treatments, prescribe medications or interfere with any treatment prescribed by a licensed medical professional. Reiki is a natural method of energy balancing for the purpose of stress reduction and relaxation, and will compliment and enhance medical treatments. It is strongly recommended that you also and always see a licensed physician or health care professional for any physical or psychological ailments you may have.

A little Reiki history.

Reiki is a system of natural healing developed by Mikao Usui (1865-1926).
Mikao Usui is often referred to as Dr. (i.e. Dr. Mikao Usui), this is an honorific title replacing the Japanese word Sensei - meaning Teacher. Sensai Usui was born on August 15, 1865 in Taniai-Mura in Yamagata district of Gifu prefecture, Japan. In his life he suffered hardships, with his business failing and leaving him in debt he decided to go up to the top of Mount Kurama (Kuramayama) to start a time of strict spiritual training involving meditation and fasting. On the twenty-first day of this process, Usui felt a large Reiki (universal Life energy) over his head and thus was born the practice of REIKI. After having tried the result of the process upon himself and his family with good results, in 1922 Usui moved to Harajuku, Aoyama, Tokyo,and founded the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai (Usui Reiki Methods Society).

It states upon the Usui Memorial Inscription that the main purpose was not only to heal diseases, but to have a right mind and healthy body so that people would enjoy and experience happiness in life. The Usui Precepts in the west can be stated as follows:

Just for today
Do not worry
Do not anger
Work hard (on yourself)
Be grateful (for your blessings)
Be kind to others

The first three distance Reiki healing energy sessions are offered free.
I feel that as Reiki is an energy freely given to help in alleviating pain or disease that it should initially be freely available to all who request it - However I would appreciate it if after a free healing is received you could send a note by email to let me know how it went as feedback is very helpful.Please send me the following information when requesting Healing Energy :

Reiki Levels

Reiki I
Your first step along the reiki path. The reiki attunement connects you to the source of healing energy which you can then start to channel. You can use this to help heal yourself and others. - £15.00

Reiki II
The second reiki attunement deepens the connection to the source and strengthens your ability to channel it. Reiki II introduces the reiki symbols which also allow healing to be directed to emotional/mental issues and across time/space. You can use this to do your healing work no matter where the recipient is physically in the world. Prerequisite is Reiki I from any reiki master/teacher. - £30.00

Reiki III
The final attunement strengthens and deepens your connection to the reiki source. In addition, you are taught the final symbol. (If you are considering attuning others then it is good practice and utterly essential that you become thoroughly familiar with all aspects of reiki before you start to attune others, to do any other is to lessen and devalue this great gift).Prerequisite is Reiki II from any reiki master/teacher. - £50.00
